Last updated: January 2025
1. Eligibility
To be listed as a supplier on CanadaMart, you must: operate as a registered Canadian business; hold Canadian stock or operate Canadian distribution facilities; supply products within one or more of our listed categories; pass our verification process as outlined below.
2. Application & Verification
All supplier applications are subject to review. CanadaMart reserves the right to approve or reject any application without providing a reason. As part of verification, suppliers may be required to provide: business registration documents, proof of warehouse or distribution address, product catalogues or capability statements, and references.
3. Profile Accuracy
Suppliers are responsible for maintaining accurate profile information, including: company name and contact details, geographic service areas and provinces served, product categories and capabilities, minimum order values, and response time commitments. Inaccurate or misleading profiles may result in removal from the platform.
4. RFQ Response Obligations
When you receive an RFQ matched to your categories, you agree to: respond to the buyer within your stated response time; provide honest, accurate, and competitive pricing; fulfill orders as quoted; treat all buyer inquiries professionally. Repeated non-response or poor performance may result in suspension.
5. Verified Supplier Badge
Upon completing verification, your profile will display a 'Verified' badge. This badge indicates that CanadaMart has confirmed your business registration and warehouse location. It does not constitute an endorsement of the quality of your products. The badge may be removed if your information becomes inaccurate or your account is suspended.
6. Listing Fees
Basic listing on CanadaMart is currently free during our launch phase. We reserve the right to introduce pricing for premium features or listing tiers in the future. Suppliers will be given advance written notice of any new fees applicable to their account.
7. Prohibited Conduct
Suppliers may not: misrepresent the availability, quality, or origin of their products; list products that are not legally importable or sellable in Canada; contact buyers obtained through CanadaMart through unsolicited channels; use the platform for any purpose other than legitimate B2B transactions.
8. Suspension & Removal
CanadaMart reserves the right to suspend or permanently remove any supplier from the platform for: misrepresentation of business details; failure to respond to buyer RFQs in good faith; customer complaints; breach of these terms; or any conduct deemed harmful to the platform or its users.
9. Confidentiality
Supplier and buyer information exchanged through the platform is confidential. Suppliers may not share buyer contact information or RFQ details with third parties outside of fulfilling the relevant quote or order.
10. Governing Law
These Supplier Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
